front end advice prior to land or property purchase, to ensure risks are kept to a minimum.

              •QUANTITY SURVEYING & COST CONSULTANCY

Our in-house expertise combined with our computerised estimating system, containing a cost
library for over 500,000 items, has enabled us to assist our clients in controlling over £20,000,000
worth of projects, simply by having the knowledge and up to date cost information to be consistently
accurate when submitting tenders, no matter how large or small the project.

This same system also enables us to produce Cost Plans Specifications and Bills of Quantities
efficiently and accurately, as facility clients are increasingly taking advantage of, particularly with
the prominence of Design and Build contracts within today’s industry.

Our project experience includes hotels, offices, libraries, exhibition centres, schools, fitting out
contracts, major refurbishment, shop fitting and other specialist work.

               •PLANNING SUPERVISION

During design, it is essential to recognise health and safety issues in partnership with the design team
and the client. To comply with CDM regulations, Nick Steans Associates provide pre-contract health
and safety plans in preparation for construction phase plans ensuring contractor competence and
ultimate health and safety file availability on completion of a project.

CONTRACT WORK

We provide a full Project Management and Quantity Surveying service, ranging from preparing
monthly valuations, remeasurement and pricing variations, to supervising and coordinating,
construction projects from inception to completion.

Our experience as troubleshooters has been of enormous value to small clients and major
organisations alike, who find that in today’s economic climate, value control is a No.1 priority.

production and analysis of disruption and loss and expense claims has been much valued by clients.
